DNP student Susan Little was recently chosen to receive the Dr. Joy F. Reed Leadership Scholarship. The scholarship was created in honor of Reed's loyalty and dedication to the advancement of public health nursing in the state of North Carolina. The scholarship is awarded to a current public health nurse licensed as a registered nurse in NC who demonstrates the leadership potential and passion for public health as illustrated by Reed's 44 year career.

Reed is an BSN'70 alumna and a 2010 Distinguished Alumna of DUSON.
