On April 17, Sharron Docherty, associate professor; will present "Defining Quality of Life: Whose Life is it, Anyway" as part of the Science and Society Dinner Dialogue series. 

Her presentation will address how as medical advances have increased survival for those with previously fatal conditions, our focus has shifted from quantity to quality of life. While an objective definition of quality of life has remained elusive, some shared sense of clarity around its meaning is necessary for those who must take account when making or assisting with difficult medical decisions.
