Duke AHEAD Presents: The Mythical Balanced Life and Busy Health Professionals: New Challenges, New Solutions
On Feb. 7, 2018 Duke AHEAD is presenting "The Mythical Balanced Life and Busy Health Professionals: New Challenges, New Solution" from 12-1 p.m. in the Great Hall of Trent Semans Center. Wayne Sotile, international thought leader on physician resilience and work/life balance for busy professionals, will be the key note speaker. His presentation will focus on the relationship between a thriving personal relationships and career satisfaction and effectiveness. He will specify at least four distinguishing features of resilient families of health professionals and discuss the similarities and differences of the work/life challenges faced by male and female health professionals.
This presentation offers a much-needed balm to this malady. With compassion and humor, clinical psychologist Wayne Sotile shares practical insights from his more than 35 years of work as a consultant to health professionals, their families, and their organizations; and from his landmark 2013 research study of medical families. Wayne has translated his lifetime work into a toolkit of practical, evidence-based strategies that distinguish those health professionals who manage to have it all: productive careers, work group and work community engagement, and thriving personal/family lives.
