Duke CTSA KL2 Accepting Applications
The Duke CTSA Research Career Development Award Program (Duke CTSA KL2) is now accepting applications from junior faculty. The Duke CTSA KL2 program provides training and research opportunities for junior investigators that will equip them to:
- Participate in and ultimately lead transdisciplinary research teams that both transcend traditional scientific silos and embrace diverse stakeholder input
- Facilitate advancement of discoveries to their next translational phase
- Represent a more diverse workforce to meet evolving translational science priorities
- Leverage partnerships locally, regionally, and nationally to enhance the impact of their discoveries
The program provides skilled and personalized mentoring, a coordinated and tailored scientific and career development curriculum and the opportunity to conduct clinical or translational research. They are particularly devoted to increasing the diversity of the research workforce and have committed to supporting at least fifty percent under-represented minorities with the KL2. Three scholars will be awarded 75 percent protected effort for three years and $20,000 a year for travel to professional meetings. Funding will start in July, 2018.
