Duke Forward Goal Achieved!

Duke Forward Goal Achieved!

On August 9, it was announced that both Duke University and the School of Nursing achieved their Duke Forward campaign goals! Duke University successfully raised $3.85 billion, with the School of Nursing contributing just over $43 million to that number. What an accomplishment -- one that would not have been possible without the support of our generous and devoted alumni!

I am proud to be part of such a remarkable community and school. While we will take a moment to celebrate this outstanding achievement, we are committed to continuing the momentum in building support for the School.

Fall is a busy season for your Development and Alumni Affairs team. We are preparing for our fall Board of Advisors and Nursing Alumni Council meetings; unveiling a new challenge to encourage support for scholarship endowments; ramping up our new Leadership Annual Giving society, the Bessie Baker Society; and of course, planning for our 2018 School of Nursing reunion to be held April 12-13. We are also in the process of creating new regional alumni programming for the coming year, and look forward to meeting many of you there.

Stay tuned for more details! My sincerest thanks for your support and dedication to the Duke University School of Nursing.
