Duke Health and Fitness Center Getting on Track Weight Loss Program
Getting on Track is your first step toward weight management and life-style change. The nutrition, exercise and behavioral health experts work with you to eliminate the typical frustration, confusion and deprivation that often accompany weight loss attempts.
Getting on Track offers seven interactive classes on nutrition, exercise and behavioral health. Each session translates knowledge gained into sustained weight management. There will be individualized nutrition and exercise prescriptions, weekly weigh-ins, exercise sessions and accountability check-ins with program staff. There will also be a discounted fee to join Duke Health and Fitness Center and an option to continue with one of the on-going support groups.
The next Getting on Track session begins on Jan. 25, but please register before Jan. 18 because space is limited. The daytime Getting on Track meets Fridays from 12:45-2:30 p.m. Participants are encouraged to exercise in Duke Health and Fitness Center from 11:45 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. prior to each class. The evening Getting on Track meets Thursday evenings from 6:15-8:00 p.m. Participants are encouraged to exercise in Duke Health and Fitness Center from 5:15-6:15 p.m. prior to each class. This exercise time is also an excellent opportunity to discuss your progress in the program with our staff.
The Getting on Track program is offered to Duke Health and Fitness Center member and Duke employees for $333, but a three-installment payment plan is also available.
