Duke Office of Durham and Community Affairs Accepting Nominations for Community Service Awards
The Duke Office of Durham and Community Affairs is now accepting nominations for two Duke engagement community service awards - The Lars Lyon Volunteer Service Award and the Duke Employee Community Service Award. Submissions for both awards are due by Friday, March 13.
The Lars Lyon Volunteer Service Award is for a Duke student whose work with a local school or nonprofit has positively impacted our community. The recipient receives $13,500 toward tuition for 2020-21 academic year. All nominees must be rusing sophomores, juniors, or seniors.
The Duke Employee Community Service Award is for a Duke employee whose time and effort as a volunteer has positively impacted our community. The Community Service Center will contribute $200 to the agency or school nominating the recipient of this award.
