DUSON and Faculty Featured in Times-News Article

DUSON was recently featured in an article entitled "Around the schools: Books over basketballs at Williams" published in Times-News

The Alamance-Burlington School System’s Career and Technical Education Department took 25 ninth- and 10th-grade boys to the Duke University School of Nursing on March 26 for the second year to introduce the students to nontraditional careers in nursing. The trip began with an information session led by Dr. Brett Morgan, faculty advisor for the Duke American Assembly of Men in Nursing and director of the Nurse Anesthesia Doctor of Nursing Practice Program. Morgan spoke about education requirements, salary ranges and various specialty areas of nursing. Students also heard from a panel of nursing students, general nurses and a nurse anesthetist, and toured the Center for Nursing Discovery, where they were able to check blood pressure, intubate fake patients and use the vein finder. The day ended with an educational lunch with Morgan.
