DUSON Collaborates with Fudan Nursing for Virtual Simulations

fudan simulation DUSON faculty and students recently completed a successful collaboration with faculty and students from Fudan University School of Nursing in Shanghai, China. In this collaboration students from both countries completed two virtual simulations (v-sims) as a group. Through these v-sims, they explored differences in patient care across countries.

Margie Molloy, associate professor, Jacqueline Vaughn, PhD '20, and Raymond Brisson, Center for Nursing Discovery technical operations coordinator, developed the DUSON v-sim. Faculty from Fudan developed the second v-sim.

The DUSON team was led by Molloy with Assistant Professors Christina Leonard and Allen Cadavero, Vaughn, PhD student Yufen Lin, and Thelma M. Ingles Professor of Nursing Marilyn Oermann. DUSON ABSN students Corrie Camalier, Erika Seeler, Sarah Chin, Caitlin Field and Chelsea Skoff also participated.
