Hanzhang Xu, assistant professor, Associate Professors Qing Yang and Beth Phillips, Jiepin Cao, PhD student, Jennie De Gagne, professor, and their families attended two vigils on March 20 in Cary and March 21 in Chapel Hill. The vigils were held in honor of the Asian people lost to the Georgia shootings and in solidarity against racism and violence against all marginalized communities. The events were co-organized by the Chinese-American Friendship Association of North Carolina and North Carolina Asian Americans Together.
