DUSON Community Members Participate in 2018 AAPINA Conference

A large number of individuals from the DUSON community recently participated in the 2018 Asian American/Pacific Islander Nurses Association (AAPINA) Annual Conference "Local to Global: Future Directions for Research on Health Disparities." 

Dean Marion Broome gave the opening remarks and held a special session with five speakers from five countries. Eun-Ok Im is president-elect and was the program chair for the conference and Hyeoneui Kim was the conference chair. 

PhD student Bada Kang received the AAPINA Scholarship Award, PhD students Eunji Cho and Chiyoung Lee received Outstanding Contribution Awards and PhD student You Lee Yang received the Best Student Poster Award.

Many PhD students were heavily involved in the conference planning committees and administration.
