DUSON Community Ornaments and Gift Drive

As a way to highlight the amazing diversity in our community, we’re starting a new tradition of decorating the two DUSON Christmas Trees with ornaments that represent you!  You’re invited to donate an ornament that represents something special to you, your home, family or culture’s tradition. Trees will be located in the front lobby and atrium.  Donated ornaments will be used for years to come. There will also be a journal available on the table in front of Room 1011  - next to elevators - for you to leave a story about your ornament(s).  Even if you simply write ‘from me to you’ ….  we are grateful for your participation.  

DUSON and the Office of Diversity and Inclusion will also host a Holiday Gift Drive with gifts going to the Durham Rescue Mission. Please leave a new and unwrapped gift beneath the DUSON Tree for donation to men, women and/or children of all ages. Gift requests include underwear, socks, blankets, pajamas, clothing, toys, books, puzzles and teddy bears. Please only donate gifts that are new and unwrapped through Wednesday, Dec. 19.

The Durham Rescue Mission is a faith-based nonprofit organization and shelter helping addicted and homeless men, women and children in the greater Durham area.
