DUSON Hurricane Relief Drive and Volunteer Opportunities
In response to the recent flooding and hardships faced within the North Carolina area in the wake of Hurricane Florence, DUSON will collect donations during the month of October to be sent to hurricane victims and come together as a group to volunteer during the month of November.
Starting Tuesday, October 2, we will be collecting items needed by the affected communities - with a special focus on babies and Latino community. Baby supplies needed include diapers, wipes, baby food and baby formula and mosquito repellent and food supplies for Latino communities.
Those wishing to make donations can do so in Pearson at the bottom of the grand staircase, in the Rutherford break room and in the Pratt conference room.
Additionally, we are planning a day of service in mid-November to volunteer with A Just Florence Recovery and the World Central Kitchen. Stay tuned for further details if you are interested in volunteering alongside DUSON colleagues with either of these organizations.
