Duke University School of Nursing was recently awarded the 2018 American Assembly of Men in Nursing (AAMN) Best School or College of Nursing Award. This award recognizes schools that demonstrate significant efforts in recruiting and providing a supportive educational environment for men in nursing.

One reviewer noted, “This nursing program demonstrated a clear commitment to gender diversity, corroborated by a litany of compelling numbers, chapter activity and strategic plans for future improvement.”

The award letter also noted, “The history, consistency, quality and commitment to creating a climate for men who are becoming professional nurses is impressive. You should be very proud.”

The School will be formally recognized on Oct. 4 during the 43^rd Annual AAMN Conference in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
