DUSON Racial Equity Institute
Around our country, our state, and our campus, people in our communities are coming together and coming forward to have conversations and ignite change around issues of race. We hope you will join us for an incredible opportunity to explore these questions and issues, right here at DUSON.
The Duke University School of Nursing will be sponsoring a two-day racial equity training workshop conducted by the nationally-renowned Racial Equity Institute (REI). This workshop is open to EVERYONE in our community: all staff, students, administrators, and faculty are welcome. The objective of this training is to serve as a first step in developing the tools and vocabulary necessary to create a cultural shift and ultimately a cultural transformation of Duke into a place of racial equity.
Please join us in helping to take the lead in dismantling structural racism and modifying our institutional practices, policies, and culture to reflect our ongoing commitment to diversity and inclusion.
Space at this workshop is limited and a commitment to attending the full 2-day REI training is required. If you are unable to fully commit to attending the entire 2 days, please pass on this opportunity. Spaces will be reserved on a first-come, first-served basis.
Dates: Jan. 29-30, 2019
Time: 8:30 a.m. until 5 p.m.
