DUSON Responds to Disaster Relief for Lumberton Community

DUSON recently responded to the needs of Lumberton, NC residents after the devastation left behind after Hurricane Matthew. According to news reports, the hurricane bought record-breaking flooding to Eastern North Carolina in October and Lumberton was oen of the hard-hit areas. The hurricane flooded four of the city's public housing developments and two of its section 8 rent-assisted apartments. That's housing for more than 1,400 people.

However, caring for the community is something that DUSON takes to heart. Staff, faculty and students joined Bethsada Baptist Church in collecting and donating everything from dog food to cleaning and personal supplies.

Staff member Izy Obi delivered the DUSON items to the Lumberton community.
