DUSON Welcomes Blumig
Duke University School of Nursing is excited to welcome Sarah Blumig to the development and alumni affairs team!
Blumig joined DUSON on Jan 3. as director of annual giving and the Bessie Baker Society.
She is a graduate of Gettysburg College, where she began her path to a development career by serving as co-chair for the senior class campaign. Most recently, she served as assistant director of annual giving at Fordham University School of Law where she managed the school’s leadership annual giving society and grew overall membership while also increasing recent graduate membership by 68 percent. In this role, she also managed a robust portfolio of annual fund donors, exceeding aggressive goals for face-to-face visits. Previously, she was senior development associate at Georgetown University where she honed her skills in qualifying new donors and developing personalized cultivation and solicitation strategies.
Blumig is a New Jersey native and moved to Apex this fall where she shares her home with Chris, a Duke alumnus, and Finnegan, her six-year-old Dachsund Yorkie mix. She also continues her commitment to her alma mater as the volunteer chair of the NYC alumni club and by chairing her reunion committees. She will make her primary office in Duke Health Development and Alumni Affairs on Main St. but will also spend time at Pearson in our shared space. Please take the opportunity to meet her when you have the chance.
Please join us in welcoming Blumig to the Duke University School of Nursing community!
