DUSON Welcomes Ledbetter

DUSON Welcomes Ledbetter

Duke University School of Nursing (DUSON) welcomes Leila Ledbetter as the new DUSON Liaison Librarian!

Many in the DUSON community may already know Ledbetter, as she has been a Research & Education Liaison Librarian at our library since 2008, with liaison responsibilities to the Doctor of Physical Therapy program and the Masters of Biomedical Sciences program. She is excited to transition to this new role with DUSON!

She brings a significant depth of experience to DUSON as a skilled educator, mentor and researcher. She has completed the Duke AHEAD Certificate Program in Health Professions Education and Teaching and has worked with faculty to craft meaningful assignments and has collaborated on countless research projects.  She has co-authored or been acknowledged in over thirty systematic reviews.

Ledbetter starts in her position on May 1 and beginning May 9, she will be available for consultation with faculty, staff and students on issues related to searching the literature, selecting course materials and managing information. We encourage faculty to reach out to Ledbetter to determine the accessibility of e-books and to plan student assignments dealing with literature searching so that we can best set the students up for success and balance staff time.

She has scheduled office hours in the Atrium at the following times and will be available by appointment.

Monday 11:30 a.m. until 1 p.m.

Tuesday 1 until 2 p.m.

Thursday 11:30 a.m. until 1 p.m.

Friday 12 until 2 p.m.

You can reach Ledbetter at leila.ledbetter@duke.edu starting May 1.
