DUSON Welcomes More Than 370 New Students for Fall 2017
Duke University School of Nursing welcomed more than 370 new students admitted to the Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Master of Science in Nursing, Post-Graduate, Doctor of Nursing Practice, Nurse Anesthesia, and PhD programs this week for New Student Orientation.
The Fall 2017 admits represent the United States including close to home in Durham and as far as California, Washington and more. Students also represent China, Korea, and Africa.
DUSON's new students also represent diverse backgrounds - former Rockette; a student who provided tours across the United States on bike; a student who became a black belt in Karate at the age of eight; a student who survived a roller coaster accident; and a player from a London soccer team.
Not only are DUSON's new students diverse and adventurous, but they also care about the health outcomes of our communities. Our doctoral students chose to advance their education to focus on the management of chronic illness and health disparties, reproductive endocrinolgoy, infertility and health disparities, self-care mangement of heart failure, and pediatric palliative care.
As you can see, DUSON is the destination for outstanding talent.
