DUSON Welcomes Ortiz and Aristi

Duke University School of Nursing is excited to welcome Norma Garcia Ortiz and Angel Garcia Aristi to the SER Hispano Research team!

Ortiz joined DUSON in Sept. as a clinical research specialist, Sr. for Rosa Gonzalez-Guarda, associate professor’s, SER Hispano Research Group. Before joining DUSON, she served as a project assistant for a cardiovascular study with PPD. Ortiz graduated from Meredith College with a bachelor’s degree double major in Biology and economics. She resides in Rutherford.

Aristi joined DUSON in Oct. as a clinical research specialist, Sr. for Rosa Gonzalez-Guarda, associate professor’s, SER Hispano Research Group. Aristi moved to the United States 18 months ago from Cuba, where he worked as an Anesthesiologist. He has more than 24 years of experience as an anesthesiologist, working in the Ministry of Public Health of Cuba as well as for the Hamad Medical Corporation in Qatar. He graduated as a Doctor in Medicine from the University of Havana 28 years ago and in 1994 Graduated as First Degree Specialist in Anesthesiology and Resuscitation.  He resides in Rutherford.
