DUSON Welcomes PCCP Spring 2017 Cohort in New York

The Population Care Coordinator Program (PCCP) recently welcomed another cohort of 14. The two-day orientation was held at the Visiting Nurse Service (VNS) headquarters in Manhattan, NY. Cohort participants Rochelle Pinnock-Herring, DaCosta Amashika, Jean- Philippe Geralda, Tatyana Feldman, Shawne Browne-Delaney, Barbara Neocleous, Shawn Connor, Valarie Brockington, Sheniqua Johnson, Amealya Blake, Abiodun Akinbobla, Edleen Exama, Elsa Lam, and Jonelle Anderson  completed a comprehensive training in areas of health behavior and motivational interviewing, role of PCCP education in VNS-NY, and evidence-based practice.

Presenters included Al Cardillo, executive vice president of Home Care Association of New York State; Rose Madden Baer, senior vice president of Population Health and Clinical Support Services for VNS-NY; Dr. Noreen Nelson, clinical assistant professor at New York University.

Participants will continue their training through a 13-week online curriculum.
