DUSON Welcomes Woodward
Duke University School of Nursing and the Medical Center Library & Archives welcome Amanda Woodward, the new School of Nursing Liaison Librarian to DUSON!
Woodward is currently a part-time Research and Education Librarian at the Duke Medical Center Library & Archives where she provides reference assistance and teaches workshops to students, faculty, and staff across the Duke Health community. Previously, she worked at Woodbury University in Burbank, CA where she served as the User Engagement Librarian and enjoyed status as an Assistant Professor. In this role, Woodward taught information literacy theories and literature searching skills to students in credit-bearing courses, guest lectures, and workshops. Prior to her work at Woodbury University, Woodward was an Assistant Librarian at Disney Consumer Products Creative Resource Center in Glendale, CA.
Woodward is available for consultation with faculty, staff and students on issues related to searching the literature, selecting course materials, and managing information. We encourage faculty to reach out to her to determine the accessibility of e-books and to plan student assignments dealing with literature searching.
