Faculty member, Donna Biederman, clinical instructors, Barb Hotelling and Lee Arvidson and former clinical instructor, Daya Breckenridge, recently attended the Urban Ministries Empty Bowls fundraiser. Empty Bowls is Urban Ministries of Durham’s signature fundraising event where participants sample soups prepared by local chefs, then vote for their favorite. Nearly 1,000 people attended the event that raised over $100,000. Urban Ministries of Durham assists 6,000 people in Durham each year with emergency shelter and food.
