Faculty and Students Present at APHA Conference

APHAIrene Felsman, assistant professor, and PhD students Vanessa Curlee, Jacqueline Nikpour and Jewel Scott presented research at the American Public Health Association's annual conference. The theme of the conference was "Creating the Healthiest Nation: For science. For action. For health." Curlee and Nikpour gave oral presentations entitled "Association between Race/Ethnicity and Psychosocial Distress in Parolees Enrolled in a Criminal Justice Drug Abuse Treatment Study" and "Conceptualizing the Evolving Nature of Access to Care," respectively. Felsman and Scott gave a roundtable presentation entitled "Adverse Childhood Experiences, Acculturation Stress, and Blood Pressure among Young Adult Hispanic Immigrants."
