Faculty Present at Research Conference in Ireland

faculty in IrelandMichael Relf, associate dean for Global and Community Health Affairs; Kathy Trotter, associate professor; Anne Derouin, associate professor; and Eleanor Stevenson, professor, traveled to Dublin, Ireland to participate and network with leaders at Trinity College of Nursing and Midwifery.

While there Trotter, Derouin and Stevenson participated in poster and podium presentations:

Trotter presented a podium presentation entitled "Anxiety scores improve when women with an increased risk of breast cancer participate in group visits," and her poster was entitled "Group care for the first 100 days: The case for better outcomes."

Derouin presented a podium presentation entitled "Preparing Nurses and Advanced Practice Nurses to meet pediatric behavioral and mental health needs through educational innovation," and her poster was entitled "HUG Your Baby: An Innovative Tool-kit Used Globally to Promote Knowledge, Skills and Confidence Among Expectant and New Parents."

Stevenson presented two podium presentations entitled "Model of care for young men to increase access to primary care;" and "Men's involvement in family planning in the Phillippines: an ecological approach to understanding." Co-author of the first presentation is Karen Baker, MD, Department of Surgery. The co-authors of the second presentation include ABSN alumni Alexa Lantiere, MPH, BSN, RN; Meagan Meekans, MPH; Cristina Bisson, MPH, RN; and Elizabeth Fitch, MPH.
