Faculty & Staff Fiscal Year '18 Campaign: Together #1

This year is a celebration of our recognition as the #1 ranked graduate school of nursing in the country and our collective work in bringing this distinction to the Duke University School of Nursing. Together, every member of the School of Nursing family played an important role on the team that achieved this honor.

This fall, hundreds of students will begin to flood the building, hundreds of others will log on to their computers worldwide, all wanting to make a difference in patients’ lives and health care outcomes. Each and every one chose to come to the #1 ranked school of nursing. Be proud of the role you played in that decision.

One of the benefits of coming to Duke is the financial aid package students can receive. While the cost of a Duke education is not inexpensive, the financial assistance these students can receive is very appealing.

Support from our faculty and staff for the School of Nursing Annual Fund is critical in building philanthropy for the school. Together, our contributions provide tuition support for students and resources for the school’s greatest needs. Our gifts also signal to alumni, volunteer boards, and other potential donors that the School of Nursing is investing in its own success. Last fiscal year 40 percent of our faculty and staff gave $35,000 to the Annual Fund. This year, let’s strive for higher. The FY'18 campaign will begin August 24 and run through the month of September. Our goal for this year’s Faculty/Staff Campaign—Together #1—is 50 percent participation and $38,500.

• Campaign kick-off celebration during the Dean’s All Faculty and Staff update is Thursday, August 24

• All those who participate will receive an appreciation gift

• Weekly prize drawings will be awarded to those who make a donation, or increase their monthly payroll deductions and for those who already are enrolled
