Faculty, Students Attend American Organization of Nurse Leaders Advocacy Day
June 1, 2021
Nearly 240 nurse leaders from 37 states attended American Organization of Nurse Leaders’ (AONL) virtual advocacy day on May 27, visiting their elected federal representatives and senators. Among the key issues, the nurse leader advocates urged Congress to include provisions to strengthen the health care workforce in infrastructure discussions.
Kathleen Turner, associate professor, and Michelle Webb, assistant professor, attended and sponsored the attendance of two MSN students graduating this year, Chelsea J "CJ" Kirkham and Kristy Averette. The hours attended will be applied to the students’ requirement for the N710 synthesis experience.
