Harrington Receives Commitment to Excellence Award

"As a CI for the ABSN Program, I wanted to take a minute and share some feedback we got from the new cohort.  On the first day they go around and introduce themselves to us CI and vice versa.  One of the questions we ask them to answer is "Why Duke?", and an OVERWHELMING answer this semester was Nora Harrington.  The CI's weren't sure who this was so on our break we made sure to find out!  Luckily she was doing tours that day and I was personally able to meet her and share this feedback.  They shared everything from her personal calls, to her handwritten notes, and her true sincerity to want them as individuals in our program.  This is my eighth semester teaching in the ABSN program and first time I have ever heard such answers. So from me as well as the other N388 CI's we want to thank Nora for all her hard work because without her they very well may have chosen a different program!" ~ Lauren Threatt, RN, BSN (nominator)
