IPE Faculty Development Workshop Series Starts This Month

There is a spring course offering being sponsored by Duke IPEC Center and DUSON IEE that's entitled "IPE Faculty Development: Cultivating Simulation Champions."

Target audience:

  1. Those who have participated in healthcare simulation in an educational role for a two year period of time.
  2. Those who have demonstrate focused simulation expertise with learners in undergraduate, graduate, allied health, or health care practitioners.
  3. Those who want to increase competence and educational expertise in the area of healthcare simulation education.
  4. Those who can commit to attend sessions 1 through 4 (session 5 is an optional review week).

Dates/Times of 5-Part Workshop Series:

Session 1

  • Topic: Simulation pedagogy
  • Option 1: 2/15 @ 5-6:30 pm
  • Option 2: 2/16 @ 7:30-9 am

Session 2

  • Topic: INACSL Standards of Best Practice: Simulation
  • Option 1: 3/1 @ 5-6:30 pm
  • Option 2: 3/2 @ 7:30-9 am

Session 3

  • Topic: Prebriefing/Debriefing Simulation lab management
  • Option 1: 3/15 @ 5-6:30pm
  • Option 2: 3/16/21 @ 7:30-9am

Session 4

  • Topic: Leadership in simulation
  • Option 1: 3/29 @ 5-6:30pm
  • Option 2: 3/30 @ 7:30am-9am

Session 5

  • Topic: Review week
  • Option 1: 4/5 @ 5-6:30pm
  • Option 2: 4/6 @ 7:30-9am
