Felicia Jenkins is the epitome of professionalism in her role as Accounting Specialist. On more than a few occasions, she has been a wonderful resource in helping me with different aspects of p-card transactions and systems. With her knowledge and expertise in this system, she quietly, kindly and ever so efficiently works to troubleshoot and successfully problem-solve! Felicia is always responsive, courteous and takes the time to explain things and necessary steps to remedy any situation. Above all, she truly is a kind and caring person. As someone who woefully falls behind in clearing out p-card transactions, I very much appreciate Felicia’s tremendous patience and assistance. She is a wonderful colleague and, dare I say, makes the p-card process almost pleasant! ~ Crystal Arthur, director of faculty affairs
"We wish to nominate Carla Nichols and Denise Williams for a commitment to excellence award. Carla and Denise have demonstrated their commitment to excellence in advancing nursing science. They have gone above and beyond on a novel scientific project in precision health. This project is integrating environmental sensors into the pediatric ICU at Duke Hospital. While this project seemed to be rather straightforward at first, it quickly escalated into a complex endeavor that has required out of the box thinking and the use of new resources at DUSON. Team members such as Carla and Denise are instrumental in advancing science that discovers new ways to deliver care and improve health outcomes of patients and their families." ~ Ryan Shaw, PhD, RN & Karin Reuter-Rice, PhD, CPNP-AC, FCCM, FAAN
