"I’d like to nominate Karen Judge for a Commitment to Excellence Award. Karen consistently demonstrates excellence in the performance of her job responsibilities and brings unique value to DUSON and the larger Duke community. Her eye for design, strong communication skills, attention to detail, and team spirit are invaluable in helping Nurse Scientists clearly communicate complex ideas. And for the Center for Nursing Research, her design thinking has helped to improve science communication. Her graphic and print design skills can be seen imprinted across DUSON and the larger University in scholarly presentations, manuscripts, logos, posters, and web pages, among others.
