Kelly Presents Session, Abstract at Annual Meeting

maryellen kellyMaryellen S. Kelly, assistant professor, presented “Advanced Urotherapy: Botox, PTNS, TENS, SNM" at the Pediatric Urology Nurses and Specialists Annual Meeting on Saturday, October 24, which was held virtually this year. The learning objectives of the session were to:

  • Understand indications for advanced urotherapy options
  • Know the risks and benefits of using Botox vs PTNS vs TENS
  • Have a brief understanding of how to administer each of the advanced therapies and know who to contact for more training

She also presented an abstract titled "Prevalence of Lower Urinary Tract Symptoms." Her co-authors include Jonathan C. Routh, Leah G. Davis, J. Todd Purves, Jennifer Stout and John S. Wiener with the Duke Department of Surgery, Robert Benjamin with Duke Department of Pediatrics, and Matthew L. Maciejewski with the Department of Population Health Sciences in the Duke University School of Medicine and the Division of General Internal Medicine, Department of Medicine, Duke University School of Medicine.
