Koch Presents at Croasdaile CCRC

Amie Koch, assistant professor, recently offered two hour-long continuing nursing education / continuing medical education courses entitled "The What's, Who's, and How's of Palliative Care" to the health care team at Croasdaile CCRC in Durham. 

A total of 60 health care caregivers and health care professionals were in attendance for the two courses. Koch developed the course to educate health care teams as to what palliative care is, who would benefit from palliative care, the difference between palliative care and hospice, as well as symptoms managed in palliative care and how they are managed. 

The course was well received and Koch will be back soon to provide a third session.
