Lisa Lewis, assistant professor; and Margie Molloy, assistant professor; recently gave an invited presentation at the North Carolina League for Nursing Spring Workshop "Nursing Education: The Next Generation” at Durham Tech Community College. 

Their presentation entitled "Holistic Admissions for Increasing Diversity in Nursing Education" was presented to more than 50 academic nurse educators from North Carolina. 

The workshop offered plenary sessions as well as break-out sessions on two tracks, for experienced and novice nurse educators. Topics included teaching evidence-based practice to students, preparing students for NextGen NCLEX, holistic admissions, active learning in the online environment, best practices in clinical evaluation and more.
