Lipkus Sends Proposal to Study Health Risks of Waterpipe

issac lipkusKudos to Isaac Lipkus, professor, and his entire team for the submission of their subcontract proposal on Virginia Commonwealth University’s NIH R01 application entitled: "Characterizing Toxicant Exposure/Yield, Behavior, and Abuse Liability of the Electronic Waterpipe." This proposal requests funding for a four-year period with a start date of July 1, 2021.

Lipkus will create an assessment of perceived health risks of electronic waterpipe use and intentions for future use and detail how risk perceptions/intentions can be influenced by subjective/behavioral measures. In year two, Lipkus will start to develop the analyses related to risk perceptions/intentions. In year three, he will assist with analyses related to risk perceptions/intentions.
