The Maternal and Chile Health Bureau Funding Opportunity: Remote Pregnancy Monitoring
The Maternal and Chile Health Bureau has announced new funding opportunities, and one is specifically related to pregnancy monitoring for women in rural areas.
MCHB Challenge: Remote Pregnancy Monitoring – November 27. HRSA’s Maternal and Child Health Bureau will award $375,000 in prizes for innovative solutions that help prenatal care providers remotely monitor the well-being of pregnant women. Recent research posted by the University of Minnesota Rural Health Research Center on the HRSA-supported Rural Health Research Gateway has brought more attention to the lack of obstetric services in rural areas. The Remote Pregnancy Monitoring Challenge is designed to find innovative ways help pregnant women monitor their own health, remotely connect with prenatal care, and make informed decisions. This is one of four MCHB Grand Challenges. The others focus on opioid use disorder in pregnant women and new moms, coordinate care for children with special needs, and prevent childhood obesity.
