A memorial stone for Libby Ladd has been placed in the Pearson courtyard. Ladd passed away unexpectedly on July 17. She had 22 years of service working at Duke, most recently being the senior program coordinator in the Center for Nursing Research.

"It is hard to imagine that it is now four months since the sudden passing of our dear colleague and friend, Libby Ladd," Paula Tanabe, vice dean of Research, said in an email to faculty and staff. "The words 'Gracious and Faithful' were carefully chosen for her memorial stone and describe Libby perfectly. On behalf of the CNR, we would like to offer a special thanks to all who worked with us or contributed to the stone.

 Tributes to Ladd were posted earlier in August.
