The 2020-21 tuition rate for DUSON students will remain the same rate as it was for the 2019-20 academic year, Dean Marion E. Broome announced in an email Saturday.

This decision coincides with the announcement Duke University President Vincent E. Price and Provost Sally A. Kornbluth made Saturday that stated the Duke undergraduate student tuition for 2020-21 would remain the same as last year.

More communication will be delivered at a later date to applicable students regarding how this announcement might impact their financial aid, according to Broome.

"We are extremely sensitive to the impact that COVID-19 has had on our community especially our students, many of whom are continuing to work on the front lines of this pandemic while trying to take care of their families and while advancing their education," Broome said in her email. "I wanted to reach out to you with our commitment to support not only the decision of the University for our undergraduate students but also to assure you that we are extending this decision in support of our ABSN, MSN and DNP students during these extraordinary times. We are all one Duke, and we will continue to work to meet the challenges before us together."
