Message from the Dean: New Faculty Appointment

I am pleased to announce Dr. Margie Molloy will be appointed to DUSON’s faculty effective July 1, 2016.   Following her day of interviews and presentation last month, there was strong support for Dr. Molloy’s appointment to the faculty.  She will continue as the Director of the Center for Nursing Discovery (CND), a position she has held since 2008.  In this administrative role, Dr. Molloy will serve on the Academic Team and report to the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, and as a faculty member, she will assume teaching responsibilities this fall.

Dr. Molloy and her team have led the CND to become a state-of-the-art learner-centered environment that has successfully integrated simulation experiences into the school’s curriculum, working with faculty to ensure standards of practice in the design, implementation, and evaluation of those experiences for our students.  Her collaborations with DUSON faculty and staff using innovative technology – Google Glass and telepresence robots -  to enrich simulation experiences are impressive and have received national recognition.

We look forward to Dr. Molloy’s continued leadership of the CND and congratulate her on this appointment to the faculty.
