MSN student Alida Jones was recently chosen to receive a scholarship for $2,000 from The Great 100, Inc. and The Great 100 Alumni Association. The scholarship is to assist with her pursuit of completing her MSN degree. Scholarships are awarded to nursing students from nursing programs throughout North Carolina. The Great 100 selected Duke University as a nursing program and Anne Derouin selected Jones to receive this year's award.

Requirements for the scholarship include:

• Applicant must be enrolled in a nursing program in North Carolina
• Applicant must have demonstrated excellence in school and/or practice
• Applicant must have a sincere commitment to the nursing profession

Jones will celebrate this accomplishment at the 2017 Great 100 Gala in October in Concord, NC.
