Virginia “Chris” Muckler, associate professor, earned CHSE-A (Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator-Advanced) certification on November 1 (see advanced certification criteria here). Muckler, director of the Nurse Anesthesia Program, is an established expert in nurse anesthesia education and is well-recognized for her work in simulation. Her continuous participation in simulation teaching, publications, research, projects, service as Co-Chair of the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA) Simulation Subcommittee, and participation in an AHRQ-sponsored study are examples of the evidence that supports her advanced certification.
