Congratulations to Chris Muckler, associate professor, and her team on her recent HRSA award for the Nurse Anesthetist Traineeship (NAT) Program for $35,618. The purpose of this project is to reduce health disparities in the treatment of surgical and non-surgical pain by increasing the population's access to health care by preparing advanced practice nurses as nurse anesthetists. Funding from this project provides financial assistance to nurse anesthesia students who are enrolled in the Duke University Nurse Anesthesia program.
