New Video Series “Faculty Focus” Shares A Personal Side of the Profession
There is always one moment, one piece of advice, or one person who helps us define, or confirm who we are as professionals.
Faculty Focus, is a new video series that will share some unique aspects of DUSON faculty’s roles, seminal moments in their careers, or advice they received, or would give to students as they think about their careers in nursing.
We want to thank Karin Reuter-Rice, Michael Cary, and AnnMarie Walton for helping us create the first three segments of Faculty Focus.
Each Faculty Focus video will answer one of the following questions.
- Describe a moment you had in your profession that transformed your perspective or career?
- Who was the person who most influenced your decision to become a nurse?
- What advice would you have for students who are contemplating or planning a career in nursing?
- What was the single best piece of advice you’ve received that has helped you in your career?
Created by the Marketing and Communications Department, these videos will be used across DUSON’s social media networks and will give faculty, students, prospective students and staff the opportunity to get to know our faculty in a more personal way and share how they view the nursing profession.
All DUSON faculty are invited to participate in this new series. Please contact Stephanie Scheller at stephanie.scheller@duke.edu for more information.
