Nominations Open for Susan B. Clark Administrative Leadership Award
Duke Health is now accepting nominations for the 10th annual Susan B. Clark Administrative Leadership Award. The award is given annually to an administrative professional in the organization who demonstrates the qualities exemplified by the late Susan Clark who rose through the ranks at Duke Health, from an entry-level position to strategic services associate in the Office of the Chancellor, and became a role model for all staff. These qualities included dedication to the institution, service to others, personal strength of character, and acts as a role model to others.
To be eligible for the award, an individual should represent the diversity of the community and must meet the following requirements:
- An employee of Duke University Health System, School of Medicine, School of Nursing, Duke Global Health Institute, and Duke Margolis Center for Health Policy
- Career path started in an entry-level position and advanced through the ranks of the institution to a position of leadership and/or significant responsibility
- Five years or more of employment with Duke
- Demonstrated record of excellent performance
- Current role provides administrative support to executive leadership (director level or above) in a manner which underpins the effective functioning of a large and/or complex service area within Duke Health
All nominations must provide examples of how the nominee has demonstrated service to others, dedication to Duke Health, personal strength of character, and qualities of a role model. Nominations can be made by any Duke Health employee.
