NSWB's Valentine's Day Fundraiser a Success!

Nursing Students Without Borders (NSWB) would like to thank the faculty, staff and students who contributed to their Valentine's Day Fundraiser. Candy-grams with lovable characters like the "Hippa" Hippo and beautiful notes hand written by students were purchased by students and faculty. Nearly $600 was raised for Curamericas-Guatemala birthing centers in the remote highlands of Huehuetenango. A low-tech MamaNatalie Birthing Simulator was purchased to train nurses and traditional midwives in safe birth practices; the balance of the funds was matched 7x by Curamericas donors for sustainable programs in Guatemala.
