Nurse Anesthesia Program Holds Award and Recognition Ceremony

The Duke University School of Nursing Nurse Anesthesia Program (NAP) recently held an award and recognition ceremony for the Class of 2018. 

At this celebration, Charles Vacchiano was the honored guest speaker. The class dedicated Sharon Hawks's office in memory of her work and contribution to the program. Her wife and two daughters accepted the dedication on her behalf. 

Miller Holmes and Sam Benton presented the Preceptor of the Year Award to John Daniels of Naval Medical Center at Camp Lejeune.

Molly Plemmons presented the VA Asheville with the Clinical Site of the Year Award.

Sarah Rollison presented the Faculty of the Year Award to Chris Muckler. 

NAP alum Tedrick Vernon received the highest recognition of the Agatha Hodgins Award. This award was determined by hundreds of clinical preceptors across 20 clinical sites and recognizes students who have achieved clinical excellence.

Kristen Leite received the Faculty Leadership Award for her contribution to leadership and education. 

Sarah Rollinson received the Faculty Excellence Award for her ongoing participation in the simulation lab, leadership and professional organizations such as the NCANA student representative.

Rachel Leonard also received the Faculty Excellence Award for her outstanding work in the simulation lab.
