Obi Receives Commitment to Excellence Award

Congratulations to Izy Obi on being recognized for her Commitment to Excellence. This staff recognition program celebrates staff who demonstrate the highest standards in their commitment to supporting our mission, vision and values. "Over the past year as her supervisor, I have come to appreciate how much of a team player and hard worker she is.  Mrs. Obi has been a dedicated and committed Duke employee for more than 20 years who consistently demonstrates excellence in the performance of her job responsibilities.  Mrs. Obi has a particular gift to connect with prospective preceptors and to secure new placements for students.   Her ongoing high level of customer service gives her a distinct ability to connect with preceptors and develop positive relationships.  Her work has significantly contributed to the ability of the school to grow a cadre of qualified and dedicated preceptors meeting the needs that come along with our significant enrollment growth. 

She frequently goes above and beyond her defined assignment to advance the work of the MSN Placement Team.  Over the past year, Mrs. Obi has stepped up several times to assist her teammates at the end of each semester, helping to identify several clinical placements for students from the most difficult locations in the US.  Over the past year, Mrs. Obi has contributed to the ongoing MSN clinical placement team quality improvement initiative. In short, Mrs. Obi has demonstrated excellence in performing her job responsibilities and has consistently gone above and beyond in her work.  She is deserving of receiving the DUSON Commitment to Excellence Award." ~ Michael Zychowicz
