ODEI Co-Hosts Documentary, Panel Discussion for MLK, Black History Month

event flyer blue backgroundIn recognition of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr’s. birthday and Black History Month, you are invited to a virtual event on January 26 to view Phil Allen Jr.'s  documentary "Healing the Intergenerational Wounds of Racism Open Wounds: A Story of Racial Tragedy, Trauma, and Redemption." The event is presented by DUSON Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, The TALK Project, Duke Center for Truth, Racial Healing and Transformation, DUSON Community Health Improvement Partnership Program (D-CHIPP) and Allen.

The documentary viewing will be from 1:30 to 2:15 p.m., followed by a facilitated panelist discussion from 2:15 to 3:30 p.m. The panel host will be Schenita Randolph, PI of The Talk Project and assistant professor. Panelists will include Allen and Dawn Henderson and Megan Stanley, of the Duke Center for Truth, Racial Healing and Transformation.
