Oermann Conducts Writing Workshops Around the Nation

Marilyn Oermann, professor, recently led the Scholarly Writing Immersion for Loyola University Niehoff School of Nursing, held in Woodstock, IL. The writing program exists to increase the dissemination of research findings and publication of other scholarly projects by School of Nursing faculty; particularly junior faculty.

Additionally, she also conducted the National League for Nursing Scholarly Writing Retreat held at the NLN Headquarters in Washington DC. The NLN Scholarly Writing Retreat is designed to help nurse educators enhance writing skills and disseminate research findings and other work in scholarly publications. By the end of the retreat, the goal is for each participant to have a complete, edited paper ready for submission to a scholarly journal.
