Marilyn Oermann, Thelma M. Ingles Professor of Nursing, was a keynote speaker for the 2021 Innovation Summit for Health Professions Education from June 17 to 18. Her presentation was: "Translation of Evidence into Educational Practices in Nursing: It Begins with Research." She also was on a panel where she presented on "Issues Facing Nursing Education."

At the Innovation Summit, health profession educators and clinicians shared best practices and innovative education initiatives and outcomes. The summit included keynote presentations, concurrent presentations and poster sessions focused on competency-based education; diversity, equity and inclusion; clinical education; assessment; fellowship and residency information; interprofessional education; leadership/ administration; and training faculty to be leaders in health care.
